Waste Management
Industrial Efficiency. Zero-Waste Ambition.

We manage our manufacturing footprint with the same precision we apply to our packaging. Our waste management protocols ensure that Citron’s facility operates in total harmony with international environmental standards.

Our Management Philosophy
Beyond Manufacturing: A Clean Cycle

Waste is not an inevitability; it is a resource out of place. At Citron, we have implemented a comprehensive waste management system that tracks every kilogram of material from the moment it enters our Samtredia facility until it leaves as a finished product or a diverted resource.

By following strict international guidelines, we minimize the environmental impact of our 1,500-ton annual output, ensuring that our industrial operations contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable Georgia and a healthier planet.

Waste Management
The Citron Waste Protocol
Source Reduction
Our automated technology is calibrated to maximize the "yield" from every paper roll. By optimizing die-cutting patterns, we reduce technical scrap at the very first stage of production.
Internal Segregation
Every square meter of our facility is equipped with specialized collection systems. We separate paper offcuts, adhesive residues, and packaging materials at the source to prevent cross-contamination.
100% Scrap Recovery
All paper waste generated during the manufacturing process—such as trimmings from our SOS bags or cup shapes—is collected, baled, and sent back to certified recycling centers to be processed into new raw materials.
Responsible Chemical Handling
While we prioritize water-based, food-safe glues and inks, any residual industrial liquids are handled through closed-loop systems to ensure zero discharge into local ecosystems.
International Standards & Compliance
Audited for Transparency.

Our waste management department operates with total transparency. We maintain a rigorous log of all material diverted from landfills, ensuring that our 2,000+ partners can confidently include Citron in their own sustainability reports.

We don't just "dispose" of waste; we manage it as part of our broader commitment to the global circular economy.

Future Goal: Zero-Waste to Landfill
The Roadmap to 2030.

We are continuously refining our processes to achieve a 100% landfill diversion rate. By investing in newer, more efficient paper-conversion machinery and partnering with innovative waste-to-energy recovery systems, Citron is leading the industrial sector toward a zero-waste future.
